A
job is a collection of images. For example, all the images from a single photoshoot or all the stills from an episodic unit of a television series can make up a job. Other examples include a movie's stills, a photographer's archive, or any other similarly grouped collection of images.
EditJob Manager
- Choose an account from the drop-down menu (if applicable).
- Choose the desired job from the job tree.
- Click through the folders to view the images in each folder.
View
- Click on these buttons in the top toolbar to view your images as a grid or list.
Size
- Click these buttons to view your results by small, medium, or large thumbnails.
Search
- Type in the Search field, and choose By Filename or By Folder using the drop-down arrow. Click the magnifying glass or hit enter to perform the search.
Filter
- Click on the Show All drop-down and choose a rating by which to filter your images. This will aid in tasks such as deleting all kills, or moving all selects.
Derivative Files
- This right-hand column will display all derivatives appended to the folder or image(s) you have clicked on.
EditNew Folder
- To create a new folder within a job or folder, right-click on a job or folder and choose New Folder.
EditDelete
- To delete a job or folder, right-click on the job or folder and choose Delete.
- To delete an image, right-click on the image and choose Delete.
- To delete multiple images, shift or control-click the images, right-click, and choose Delete.
EditRename
- To rename, right-click on a job, folder, or image and choose Rename.
EditUpload
- To upload images, right-click on a job or folder and choose Upload. Follow the steps detailed in the Upload Wizard.
- Specify a Source Folder by choosing a folder under the registered storage point, or choosing files/folders from your computer. Click Start to begin the upload, or continue with the steps below if desired.
- Specify Derivative Source Files to append to the images from the registered storage point or from your computer. Check the Append to Sub Folders box if the derivatives should be appended to the subfolders within the job/folder.
- Specify Metadata Options to be applied to the new assets. Choose a schema, and specify/select its properties.
- Specify Notification Options. Check the box if you wish to notify the users assigned to the job when it is complete. Add additional email addresses to be notified if necessary.
- Click Start to begin the upload.
EditAppend
- Right-click on a job, folder, or image(s) and choose Append to append derivative files.
- Specify Derivative Source Files to append to the images from the registered storage point or from your computer. Check the Append to Sub Folders box if the derivatives should be appended to the subfolders within the job/folder.
- Specify Notification Options. Check the box if you wish to notify the users assigned to the job when it is complete. Add additional email addresses to be notified if necessary.
- Click Start to begin appending.
EditSync
- Right on a job or folder to sync up to the registered source point.
- Choose one of the following options from the Sync Wizard.
- Add new images from Storage Point and keep current images will only upload the images that exist on the source and not on GLOBALedit.
- Delete assets not in Storage Point will erase the images on GLOBAledit that do not exist on the source.
- Delete all assets from folder and add files from Storage Point will erase all the job's images currently on GLOBALedit and upload all the images that exist on the source.

EditDrag and Drop
- You can easily move around folders and images within a job. Just drag and drop an image or images into a different folder, or drag and drop a folder into another folder to move in within.
EditView Jobs
- Click on any of the headers to sort the jobs by that category.
- Click on the job name to see the job's information. Here you can edit the job information, view user assignments, or change the asset rights owner account.
- Click on the job's status to see its progress as well as previous actions.
EditSearching for a Job
- Choose Jobs > View Jobs. The ten (10) most recent jobs uploaded to the system will be listed.
- Use the Search area to access jobs not listed. The search provides options to find jobs by Account Name or Code, Job Name or Code, or Creator.
EditAdd New Job
- Choose Jobs > Add New Job.
- Select an Account from the drop-down menu.
- Enter the required information fields (marked with a red *).
- The Job Name defines how the job will appear throughout the site.
- Job Code and Job Description can be used for organization and search purposes.
- Press Next to continue with the remaining steps of the Job Wizard.
EditAssign Job to Account
- Jobs can be assigned to multiple accounts once they've been uploaded so that other accounts' users can be given access.
- Choose Jobs > Assign Job to Account to give another account access to a job.
- Use the pull-down menus to find the Job and Account. If you cannot find the Job in the pull-down menu use the Search field provided.
EditAssign Job to User
- Each User is assigned a Role permission to access a Job within his/her Account.
- Choose Jobs > Assign Job to User.
- Choose the Job from the drop-down box. If the job you wish to assign does not appear in the box, use the Search to find the job you want to use.
- All of the folders within the selected job will appear in the Folder drop-down box. Choose the appropriate folder, or to give access to all the folders choose the "--" in the list.
- A list of account Users will appear in the drop-down box. Choose the user you wish to assign to the job.
- The Roles belonging to the user's account will appear in the drop-down box. Choose the role you wish the user to have for the job assigned.
- To assign users to a job not uploaded to their account, the job must first be assigned to the appropriate account. See here to assign a job to account.
