LIGHTBOXES

• A lightbox is a collection of images created from the Library that allows you to collaboratively edit and share ratings with both GLOBALedit and non-GLOBALedit users.
• Any image ratings made in a lightbox are reflected in the Image Library and vice versa.
• Tools and rating permissions can be defined when sharing a lightbox collection.

Create a New Lightbox

• There are several ways to create a lightbox.
• In the Image Library, click the "Send image to..." drop-down menu under an image and choose "Create New Lightbox" to send the image to a new lightbox.

• In the Image Library, use the Image Router drop-down menu and choose "Create New Lightbox" to send all images to a new lightbox.

• In the Image Editor, click the Send to... drop-down menu associated with the large image preview and choose New Lightbox to send the image to a new lightbox.

• In the Image Editor, click the Send all to... drop-down menu located to the right of the thumbnail strip and choose New Lightbox to send all images to a new lightbox.

Add an Image

• In the Image Library, click the Send image to... drop-down menu under the image and choose the lightbox.
• In the Image Editor, click the Send to... drop-down menu associated with the large image preview and choose the lightbox.

Add a Group of Images

• Use the Image Router in the Library to send a group of images to a lightbox. The Image Router will send all the current images to the lightbox.

• For example, you can add all selects to a lightbox by filtering the images and routing all to a lightbox. Routing images to a lightbox will send all the images in your current view.

Manage Lightboxes

My Lightboxes

• My Lightboxes is where your private lightboxes are listed.
• You can sort your lightboxes by name or date created.

Edit a Lightbox

• Click on the lightbox you wish to edit.
• Click on the "i" button to edit the name of the lightbox, add or edit notes, delete the lightbox, or manage shared users.

• Within the lightbox, you can press the "X" on the top left corner of each image to remove it from the lightbox.

• Any image ratings changed in a lightbox will immediately update the image ratings in the Image Library.
• Use the Image Router to send all images from a lightbox to the cart.

Email a Lightbox

• Click on the envelope icon to the left of the lightbox you wish to email.

• Fill out the listed permissions / access:
  • Enter the email addresses separated by commas or semi-colons, or use the Address Book function.
  • Customize the email subject and message.
  • Choose the editing rating permissions that your lightbox recipients should have. You can hide ratings, or you can allow them to view or modify ratings.
  • Check the desired file types to send under Download Options
  • Lightning Box allows the lightbox recipient to download all files with one click.
  • Specify an expiration date for when the recipient will no longer have access to the lightbox.
  • Allow image arranging box lets the recipient change the order of images in the lightbox.
  • Allow image removal lets the recipient delete images in the lightbox.
  • Apply watermark stamps all images with a customized watermark.

Group Lightboxes

• The Group Lightboxes tab is where all the lightboxes shared with you are stored.

• Any image ratings changed in a shared lightbox will update the image ratings in your Image Library as well as the lightbox / Image Library of the other shared lightbox users.

• You can remove shared lightboxes from the list by clicking the i button and clicking Remove Lightbox.

Lightning Boxes

• You can send any lightbox as a Lightning Box that the recipient can download with one click.

• Click the envelope icon next to the desired icon, which will direct you to the Share Lightbox page.

• Specify which file types you'd like your recipient to download (JPG, TIF, etc). Choosing "Original Image" will allow the recipient to download the GLOBALedit sized preview JPGs.

• Make sure to click Enable Lightning Box, and to specify an expiration date (required).

• On the recipient side, click the Download button above the images to download all specified files. If more than one type of file has been specified, these will be separated out into folders.

• Please note that you are not able to send yourself a Lightning Box. To download your lightbox, use the file package download option under Cart.
