The Search tab allows you to perform a detailed search query of your image library using several different types of criteria. You can search by file name, metadata, file extension, rating, or saved notes.

===Create a New Search===
*Choose your criteria from the '''Criteria''' drop down menu(s). You can search by:
**Metadata
**Filename
**File Extension
**Rating
**Notes
**Rights Restriction Date**
* Use the plus sign to add additional search criteria.
* Define your search query by choosing All or Any from the '''Match''' drop down menu.

* This will search through all of the images in your library.

===Refine a Search===
* After an initial search you can modify the criteria by clicking the '''Refine Search''' button.

===Save a Search===
* Clicking '''Save Search''' will allow you to access the query at any time. 

* You can define a custom name for your saved search

* A saved search is available both in the '''Search''' tab as well as the '''Filter''' drop down menu located in both the '''Image Library''' and '''Image Editor'''.
