May 2015 release - Improved image load time

Tommy Lionelli -

This release focuses on improving asset load time for customers all over the globe.  We've worked tirelessly to ensure that your content remains safe and secure, while also decreasing the amount of time it takes to preview images within globaledit.

What did we change?

We implemented a technology called 'Cache Warming' that will cache your images on a server close to where the user is attempting to view images.  In the past, we cached all of your content on a server in NY.  While this was an effective option for NY based customers, this model did not scale the further you got from NY.

If a user in LA logs in to their globaledit account, we will cache all of the images within that job/folder on a server closest to that user.  This ensures super fast image load time and a great experience!

What do I need to do?

Use globaledit!  We've made all the changes in the back-end, so all you need to do is tell your account team how much better your experience is.

We've also released a handful of minor bug fixes and an improvement to bulk downloading restricted assets :)
