Supported Workflows
The below are just a few of many examples we can custom build. Reach out to an Account Manager to learn more about customizing this integration to you and your team’s specific workflow needs.
Shoot Planning & Folder Creation
- Upload a new shoot folder in Globaledit (e.g., "Holiday Product Shoot").
- Teams sync posts: “New project folder created – Holiday Product Shoot.”
- Planner auto-generates tasks like “Prepare wardrobe for Holiday product shoot” or “Finalize shot list.” Alternately, new Planner tasks can create folders ahead of shoots.
Asset Upload & Review
- Photographer uploads ‘selects’ to Globaledit.
- Teams channel - or designated team member - receives a notification that x amount of assets in “Holiday Product Shoot” are uploaded, with a link to the folder.
Markups & Feedback
- Stylists or art directors add comments on assets via Globaledit’s asset or folder comments panel. An @ mention of a team member in Globaledit can automatically send a message to them in Teams
- Teams mirrors comments in a thread—for instance: “Retouch needed on image #123 (stray hair).”
Asset Approvals & Ratings Notifications
- Assets are marked as "Approved" and rated (e.g., 5-star + Approved).
- Teams issues a notification: "Image IMG_045 is now fully approved." to a designated channel or team member
Version Uploads & Tracking
- New versions of assets uploaded to Globaledit (ie retouched assets).
- Teams indicates: “Version 2 of IMG_045 uploaded – please QC the retouched image.”
Collections & Campaign Channels
- Approved assets grouped into a collection (e.g., "Holiday Bestsellers").
- Teams posts: “New collection ‘Holiday Bestsellers’ is ready” with a link to the collection (noting Teams members will need to be added as Collection members in GE in order to view the link)*
Asset Delivery & Sign-Off
- Final assets approved for delivery and Public Links created in Globaledit.
- Teams channel receives confirmation: “Holiday shoot assets ready for delivery. Public link here.”
Best Practices
| Tip | Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| Use Campaign-specific Teams channels | Keeps updates focused and organized. |
| Include thumbnails or links in Teams posts | Helps teams quickly identify assets without context-switching. |
| Automate Planner tasks for each stage | Ensures nothing slips through the cracks in high-volume workflows that live inside Teams alongside Globaledit |
| Match emails and/or user-names in Teams to GE members | Make sure the right team members have access to both platforms in order to receive direct mentions |
| Maintain clear naming conventions & workflow stages | Simplifies cross-referencing between Globaledit and Teams tasks. |
