Setting User Policies
Asset status is a Workspace Role and is enabled for the Workspace Admin role. As a default, Organization Admins and Account Admins also have the Asset Status policy automatically enabled to modify, however, if the Workspace role prevents the policy, the policy will supersede Organization and Account policies. Custom Roles can be modified for the Admin to either add the policy to either view only, not view, or modify.
Workspace Policies
- No check mark on the Status policy will not show the Asset Status icon on an asset to the user
- A check mark on Status policy and View Only will allow the user to view the Asset Status
- A check mark on Status policy and Modify will allow the user to modify the Asset Status
Collection Policies
Asset status within collections is a policy when the collection is created by the collection owner. The asset status can be set to either view only, not view, or modify. If a user in a collection has workspace policies for asset status within the collection, workspace policies will supersede collection policies.
